Castle Rock Sports Injury Treatment

Professional, amateur and weekend-warrior athletes all strive to have the best possible performance in their chosen sport, and they all get injured.

Injuries happen, pure and simple. Injuries can be minimized, but they cannot be totally avoided. In all likelihood if you participate in any physical activity long enough, you will eventually get hurt to some degree. The way in which you treat your injuries determines how fast you will recover and get back to the activity you enjoy.

The focus of Dr. Matthew Swager (Board Certified in Sports Medicine) is to provide care in the conservative management, rehabilitation and performance optimization of neuromusculoskeletal system for athletes and to participate in a multi-disciplinary sports injury care environment.

This is achieved by the application of a multimodal treatment approach that includes one or more of the following: manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue therapies, electro-therapy, rehabilitation and other movement/exercise therapies, nutritional advice, strapping and bracing and other related approaches.

Sports medicine is a substantial part our practice at Back 2 Health Chiropractic in Castle Rock. Dr. Swager treats a wide range of sports-related conditions and problems, including acute injuries (those that happen suddenly), such as the dislocation of a joint and joint sprain; and over-use injuries (those that develop gradually), such as carpal tunnel, stress fractures, muscle strains and tendonitis.

As a life-long fitness enthusiast himself, Dr. Swager understands the importance that chiropractic adjustments, goal setting, perseverance and nutrition play in helping you to perform optimally.
